The Shoura represents the Muslim community in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. It is a public-law legal entity that signed an agreement with the Luxembourg State in 2015.
It currently brings together eleven Islamic centers distributed across the entire territory. The members of the Shoura are elected through elections held every four years.
The Waqf Foundation is a key partner of the Shoura. Both institutions work hand in hand to collect and allocate Muslim donations in a responsible and transparent manner, ensuring they are directed toward the most appropriate and impactful projects.
The Waqf also manages Zakat contributions and supports initiatives that contribute to the development and strengthening of the Muslim community in Luxembourg.
Together, the Shoura and the Waqf aim to ensure strong and structured representation of Muslims in Luxembourg, particularly in the financing and development of community projects and mosques.
