Transparency and governance
Trust is the very foundation of Waqf. Since its origins, assets entrusted to Waqf institutions have been regarded as a major responsibility requiring rigor, integrity, and transparency.
The Waqf Luxembourg Foundation is committed to adhering to the highest standards of governance to ensure the responsible management of the resources entrusted to it.
Every decision is guided by the need to preserve the interests of beneficiaries, respect the intentions of founders, and ensure the sustainability of assets.
Allah ﷻ says:
“Indeed, Allah commands you to render trusts to whom they are due.”
(Surah An-Nisâ, 4:58)
This concept of Amanah, trust and responsibility, is one of the fundamental principles of our governance.
We believe that transparency is not merely a regulatory requirement. It is a moral obligation. That is why we commit to regularly publishing our activity reports, financial statements, and the outcomes of supported projects.
Our goal is to enable every donor, partner, and beneficiary to understand how resources are managed and what impact they create within society.
Impact
Impact is the true measure of a Waqf’s success.
Beyond the amounts raised or the assets managed, it is the positive transformations in people’s lives that give full meaning to our mission.
Every project supported by the Foundation is carefully monitored in order to assess its results and its contribution to the common good.
We believe that a responsible institution must be able to demonstrate the tangible effects of its actions. This evaluation approach not only allows us to report on our work, but also to continuously improve our practices.
The ultimate goal of Waqf is not the accumulation of resources. It is the creation of lasting impact that benefits society and contributes to human development.
